There's a Finger for THAT!! Hold Your Ring Finger!!

Often Grief and Sadness are overwhelming - it's important to acknowledge these emotions, and holding your ring finger can help process through a difficult time.

You can hold either ring finger in its entirety for as long as you would like. Or, some other suggestions are:

  • Hold each knuckle individually from the base of your finger to the tip (from side to side, or front to back)

  • Hold each intercostal space of your finger from the base to the tip (same- side and side or front and back)

  • Use your 9 conscious breaths with each hold

By the way, holding your Ring Finger helps with breathing (good if your New Year's Resolution is a cardiac activity!). Just tuck your ring fingernail under your thumb pad on each hand and move along!
